After a 150 years, The Rocky Mountain News closed today. I see this demise as a bellwether for the newspaper industry as a whole. The advent of the internet and more recently devices like the Kindle has changed the landscape around news collection and dissemination and casualties like this will only increase over the next decade. I especially fear for the New York Times and sincerely hope that they escape.
