Chuck Close interview:
Chuck Close, one of my favorite living artists talked to Charlie Rose on PBS a couple of nights back and I had to post the link to the video. It is fascinating and it teaches a lot - not just about painting, but his overall philosophy itself. Highly recommended and a classic...
Link to the video here (if for some reason you do not get it there, it is on Charlie Roses' website).

Hmmm...I have to admit that I did not watch it all. ALMOST did he is an interesting person. Wonder what he would say if someone asked him what he thought of Jackson Pollocks works. There were some things that I agreed with him on but others that I TOTALLY feel differently about. He is very lucky though, because being in the situation that he was in if he had not been a well known artist before he was in the hostpital, he may not have made it as an artist. I don't paint to make it as an artist though, I paint from the heart. That is one thing that I do feel a tad differently about.
